The Importance of Adding 'DIGG' Button

I realize many bloggers do not know the importance of Digg. You can register yourself at Digg.com a free account. WHY Digg? It's because this is one of the most effective ways to share your posts to the whole world. In other sense, your blog traffic will inevitably be increased as well (I guess this is what a blogger desperately looking into at the end of the day).

If you do have ample of quality postings, make sure you add this powerful widget 'Digg' button onto each and every one of the postings so that your will be digged and subsequently be disseminated to many through digging. Before I show you this simple code installation, I would appreciate if you could DIGG this post for me :)

Here are the simple steps.

1) Login to your logger with your ID.

2) Go to dashboard and click Layout.

3) Click Edit HTML tab.

4) It is advisable to download your existing template first before installing the scripts by clicking Download full template and save it.

5) Now click the Expand Widget Template.

6)Find the following code. If you find it difficult to search, I got a fast way to do that. Do refer to this Related Posts.

7)Delete the above code and replace the deleted code by the following code.

<p>
<!-- DIGG -->
<div style='float:right; margin-left:10px;'>
<script type='text/javascript'>
digg_url = '<data:post.url/> ';
</script>
<script src='http://digg.com/tools/diggthis.js' type='text/javascript'/>
</div>
<data:post.body/>
</p>

8)Finally, click Save Template and you are done. Digg button is now added.

Don't forget to DiGG my post. Hehe....

I recently added a digg button to my posts. It has increased my traffic by a large margin. Great Advice. Digg is awesome!

Ironocally to Nick, I've just removed my Digg button. I'm on a cleaning-up-my-template sort of thing and I realized the Digg button is taking up some amount of space. I wasn't sad about the traffic, I think I can handle it. I think. :)

Good advice though, I would've suggested the same thing.

For Wordpress users, there is a plugin that allow the blogger to configure the size and location of the button. It is amazingly simple to use and is highly recommended.
